Country singer Mark McKinney heads back home on Friday night -- sort of. The Big Spring native returns to West Texas to celebrate his newest album, “The World In Between,” which drops the same day he will perform at the Lone Star Bar.
“Everytime I go back, it reminds me of those old days when my and my brother had a band playing in Midland and Odessa,” he said in a phone interview.
Fans will hear new songs by McKinney, who sees this as his best album to date.
“Yeah, I think I went deeper on this album. I feel like my songwriting has matured. I’ve been exploring new things with it,” he said. “Songwriters sometimes (have) a tendency to write in the same box.” READ FULL ARTICLE
