Ted Russell Kamp The Low and Lonesome Sound November 13
STREAM

“(Kamp’s) new album, The Low And Lonesome Sound, is largely a solo effort, meaning just vocals and bass, though he does have some guest musicians sitting in with him on certain tracks. This is a sound that I really love, and this new CD from Ted Russell Kamp is a delight.”—Michael’s Music Log

This is a record featuring Ted’s solo bassing and singing, something Ted has been doing in his solo shows for the last few years. The EP features 3 songs that were recorded live on tour in 2014 in the Netherlands at a great concert that is broadcast on the Crossroads Radio program. The rest of the songs still retain the minimalist bass-oriented approach but feature special guests including violin, Ted on trumpet and percussion. The EP also includes a cover of the Townes Van Zandt song ‘Tecumseh Valley’.

As a solo artist, Ted Russell Kamp has been called "a striking singer/songwriter ... absolutely hypnotizing" (Music Row, USA) and "a star on the rise ... in the tradition of great troubadours like Guy Clark (No Depression, USA). He has released 6 solo albums in the past 10 years, 4 of which made the Top 100 Americana Albums of the Year and one debuted at #1 on the Euroamericana Chart. As a songwriter, he has a storyteller's flair for offbeat characters, interesting turns of phrase and a sense of realism and emotional honesty that makes his music both poetic and real. He writes in the style of his lifelong inspirations Bob Dylan, The Band, and Kris Kristofferson."The strength of Kamp’s music is his songwriting, and his voice. Many singers try twice as hard and are still only half as unique and engaging as Ted.” SavingCountryMusic.com

“Sometimes Chris Toppin starts singing, and I disappear down the rabbit hole with her voice. She can whiskey rasp through an Americana ballad or fly her vocals high and pretty over a big brass section. To my delight, she does both on Love Love’s eponymous debut LP.”—Boston Herald

"Singer-songwriters Chris Toppin and Jefferson Davis Riordan have established their credentials in various bands over the years. Perhaps that’s why their debut sounds so potent and fully-formed." —Mayer Danzig, Twangville

Ghosts Of The Low Country  Coming November 6th

“Four great songs captured in such a way that you cannot help but love them, they are the open road and the cloudless sky that resounds of an America at peace with itself.--Liverpool Sound & Vision
Singing since childhood, Ellis’ sultry sound and complicated rhythms come from experience. Although a Savannah, GA native, Ellis traveled across America due to her nomadic childhood before landing in Southern California where she meets longtime collaborator Gio Loria, who along with Ellis brings her lush melodies and lyrical storytelling to audiences around the world. With music tours in North America and Europe and recording in studios in New Orleans and France, Ellis’ life on the road brings adventure and reward. During her latest Southern tour, Ellis recorded at historical FAME studios in Muscle Shoals Alabama setting down a four track EP, Ghosts Of The Low Country.
