Across The Aisle Music & Rev The Vote Present:

The Surreal McCoys and Bottle Rockets at AmericanaFest in Nashville
Thursday, September 17, 2015 from noon-2pm @ Dan McGuinnes Pub
www.thesurrealmccoys.com

The Surreal McCoys are a “Johnny Clash” roots rock outfit of hardcore troubadours with one foot in the garage and the other on a roadhouse barstool. Their songs recall an era of lesser hygiene but greater guitar riffs, and come wafting through the car radio static of some far-off station as the band careens down the lost musical highway that connects the odd-numbered Hank Williamses to The Replacements.

Their new album, The Howl & The Growl (release date: Friday 9/18) was recorded and produced in Williamsburg Brooklyn by legendary rock and alt-country Producer, Eric Ambel (The Del-Lords, The Bottle Rockets, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams,) The Howl & Growl will be released September 18th by Washington, DC label, Across the Aisle Music on most digital distribution platforms, including iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify, and your finer truck stops. In conjunction with the launch, the band will play an official Americana Music Association luncheon showcase Friday, September 17th with veteran roots rockers The Bottle Rockets in one of their only 2015 AmericanaFest appearances. Both have new albums hitting the street which were produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel.

The video for the feature track “Turn & Run,” has just premiered exclusively on Americana Music Online Magazine Turnstyled Junkpiled http://turnstyledjunkpiled.com/2015/08/03/video-premiere-turn-and-run-by-the-surreal-mccoys/   and went on to make video of the day at the blog www.50thirdand3rd.com

“The Surreal McCoys are a unique blend of pretty much any musical styling that is cool—nods to The Stones, The Clash, Johnny Cash—and all performed with energy and a whimsical middle finger held high. Best played extremely loud, and with at least two tequilas already in the bloodstream.”—Billy Morrison, guitarist—(Billy Idol, Royal Machines)
